Expelled JD(U) leader and Mokama MLA Anant Kumar Singh announced plans to launch his own political party, claiming the JD(U) would struggle to win even 10-12 seats in future elections. Singh and his wife Neelam Devi were expelled for six years over alleged anti-party activities. The party has also sought Singh.
