Iran’s Army said its air defence systems shot down a US LUCAS drone over Bandar Abbas, a southern port city near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. The drone was intercepted by Iran’s integrated air defence network, the military said. The announcement came hours after US President Donald Trump indicated Washington was considering fresh military action against Iran.
