IMD issued a cyclone alert for Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha as a depression over Bay of Bengal is predicted to intensify into very severe cyclonic storm. It's likely to cross Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam on October 28. It's predicted to bring winds of 115-125 kmph, gusting to 140 kmph, and extremely heavy rainfall.
