Thousands of devotees gathered at the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya and Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj to take a holy dip on Sharad Purnima on October 25. Also known as Kojagari Purnima, the festival marks the full Moon in Ashwin, the Hindu lunar month. The Saryu holds religious significance as a river associated with Lord Rama.
