The Commandant of Enugu Forestry Guard , Dr Akinbayo Olasoji said the initiative was part of the guard’s sustained efforts to ensure that Enugu’s forests remain safe for farmers, residents, travellers and rural community dwellers, while protecting wildlife, natural resources. Affected landowners and farmer representatives have demanded clear written assurances on market valuation and fair compensation norms before field surveys or land acquisition proceed.
