A farmer has alleged that Gajwel Sub-Inspector Malla Reddy slapped him at the police station after he approached officials over a water-sharing dispute. The farmer, Bhimiri Ravi, 35, belongs to Giripally village. He approached Gajwel police on Friday evening seeking help over sharing water from a borewell pump owned by three cousins. During the inquiry, the SI reportedly asked Ravi about the duration of the electricity supply.
