Pune’s Undri-Mohammedwadi residents, Corporator Nivrutti Anna Bandal and Retd Lt Col Satish Hange have launched a restoration of Autadewadi Lake to address water scarcity. The plan includes desilting, wetland creation, recharge structures and plantation. Officials say it will boost groundwater, cut tanker dependence, improve biodiversity and reduce flooding in the growing area in the region.
