Abhishek Sharma has become the third India batter to reach 1,000 T20I runs in a calendar year. He achieved the feat during the second T20I against New Zealand, in which he scored 27 runs off 21 balls. Suryakumar Yadav was the first Indian to reach the milestone, followed by Ishan Kishan who achieved the milestone during Asian Games 2026.
