The central government has prohibited the reuse of single-use medical devices to ensure patient safety and prevent infections. The DGHS said that several hospitals were reusing such devices in critical specialities like cardiology and nephrology while charging patients the full cost of the devices. Notably, the order covers both private and public healthcare organisations.
