The SIT has intensified its investigation into the murder of Dharmasthala college student Sowjanya following the Supreme Court's order for a reinvestigation. SIT officials arrived in Beltangady on Friday and collected a blood sample from Sowjanya's mother, Kusumavati, for DNA analysis. Sowjanya went missing on October 9, 2012, and her body was found in bushes near Dharmasthala the following day.
