Seattle’s arts community is remembering Tom Skerritt for his celebrated acting career, generosity and lasting support of local filmmakers. He never had to raise his voice to run the room. A Detroit kid with four Air Force years behind him, Tom Skerritt built a career out of playing the person you would follow without a second thought. Skerritt died Wednesday of natural causes, his family said in a statement.
