Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that the Vadodara–Mumbai stretch of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, built at a cost of around ₹24,000 crore, is likely to be opened for. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project has completed all 14 portal beams along its 8.3-km Vadodara stretch, where the corridor crosses five operational railway lines.
