West Bengal Health Minister Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay announced Friday that extended Durga Puja holidays for state-run hospital staff will end from 2027, with a duty roster introduced from Saptami to Dashami. Staff currently on leave were directed to cancel it and report immediately. The move follows reports of unauthorised absences during the festive period.
