Pune police have banned 'laris' (joined firecracker strings) and 'atom bombs' during Diwali. Sound-emitting crackers are prohibited between 10pm and 6am while only light-effect crackers are allowed at night. Bursting firecrackers on public roads is also barred. Temporary vendors can sell only from November 6 to December 5, 2026, per an order by additional commissioner Sanjay Patil.
