Seattle City Attorney Erika Evans is rolling out a new sentencing alternative. The program bears some similarities to community court, which ended in 2022. Like the community court before it, Connection Court is for people who commit low-level, nonviolent misdemeanor offenses. It allows defendants to connect with services like addiction treatment or peer support instead of prosecution.
