Residents and defence installations in Uran will now face water cuts every Tuesday and Friday after dwindling levels at Ransai dam prompted Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to restrict supply until next monsoon. The restrictions follow the state government’s directive for a 10% water cut from October 16. Ransai dam’s water level is reportedly declining by around an inch daily, prompting MIDC to urge.
