DUBAI, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in Sharjah, a northern emirate of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have temporarily closed Al Hamriyah Beach in its northern coast as a precaution against potential pollution from an offshore tanker oil spill, the Sharjah Government Media Bureau said Friday. In a statement posted on social media platform X, the bureau said specialized teams were taking necessary measures to protect the coastline and prevent oil pollution.
