The motor vehicles department (MVD) conducted an extensive enforcement drive this week in Ernakulam following complaints of private buses and other vehicles being driven dangerously, operating at excessive speeds after removing speed governors, and being driven by people without valid licences. Civic and transport authorities are coordinating field operations to improve commuter safety, reduce transit bottlenecks, and streamline daily travel across key urban corridors.
