Astrologer Akhilesh Pandey has explained that along with 'Karwa', purchasing a clay pot, a puja thali, a red chunri, wedding accessories, and sweets is considered auspicious on 'Karwa Chauth'. After the Karwa Chauth puja, traditionally a 'baina' is gifted to the mother-in-law or another elder woman in the family. This includes clothes, sweets, fruits, wedding items, and dakshina.
