Karnataka Health Minister UT Khader has warned private hospitals against excessive charges and withholding deceased patients' bodies over unpaid bills. The government plans to introduce transparent billing measures and has asked hospitals to display mandatory rate charts. Meetings with pharmaceutical and health insurance companies are also planned to address medicine prices.
