Bajpe Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike has sought the inclusion of the four-acre Shanthi Gudde settlement, home to around 105 economically disadvantaged families, in the proposed buffer zone around MRPL, citing alleged industrial pollution, health concerns and administrative inaction. The move would expand the proposed buffer zone from 27 acres to 31 acres, bringing the families within its boundaries.
