Gurugram, Faridabad and Nuh are facing massive power outages as employees of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) have gone on strike against the grant of a electricity distribution licence to a private company. The power department has received over 5,500 complaints due to the power outage that affected nearly 50,000 homes. Angry residents staged a protest over power cuts.
