Japan's largest labor union federation Rengo plans to push for wage increases of around 6% in 2027 spring negotiations, up from last year's 5% target. The draft policy framework calls for base-pay rises of at least 3–4%. Rengo also set a medium-term goal of 15% wage growth by 2030, assuming 3% annual gains plus policy boosts.
