Comedian Sudesh Lehri criticised Uttarakhand minister Subodh Uniyal for publicly confronting singer Daler Mehndi on stage at the Kunjapuri Fair, alleging intoxication. Citing a 30-year association, Sudesh said he never saw Daler drink and questioned why the matter wasn't handled backstage. Several artists, including Mika Singh, Kapil Sharma, and Anupam Kher, have also voiced support for the singer.
