Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk accused the Centre of cancelling the October 22 meeting with Ladakh representatives, calling it a betrayal of the May understanding. Representatives of Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance had prepared draft proposals after an October 15 Leh meeting. Wangchuk reiterated demand for a Union Territory with legislature and constitutional safeguards for Ladakh.
