Woman beaten by husband over fafda-jalebi demand dials helpline. Simmering resentment between a Shahibaug couple spilled over when the wife asked the husband to get fafda-jalebis on his way home. The man allegedly came home and beat her for making the demand when he was “carrying most of the family burden, including chores” due to the wife’s arthritis.
