Mumbai pollution worse than Delhi: HC as it pulls up civic authorities. The Bombay High Court called it "shocking" that Mumbai's air pollution levels were higher than Delhi's during the festive season. The court criticised civic authorities for failing to enforce pollution-control measures and banned firecrackers on public roads, streets and footpaths. It directed the BMC and Mumbai Police chiefs to submit an action report by October 26 and frame an SOP.
