Centre amends Ladakh Hill Councils structure, electoral rules. The Centre has amended the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Councils regulation, aligning it with the J&K Reorganisation Act, 2019. Each Council will have 7–24 elected seats, a five-year term, and the Ladakh Lok Sabha MP as ex-officio member. References to 'State' and 'Governor' are replaced with 'Union territory of Ladakh' and 'Administrator'.
