UN Secretary-General race deadlocked as all 7 candidates face veto. In an informal poll, all seven candidates for the UN Secretary-General post received at least two votes of "discourage," effectively a veto from a permanent UN Security Council member. Costa Rica's Rebeca Grynspan received the most "encourage" votes from the 15 UNSC members. If a candidate gets nine votes and is not vetoed, their name will proceed to UNGA.
