FIFA President Gianni Infantino said he apologised to the FIFA Council on Thursday for mistakes in communicating and consulting over the now-abandoned FIFA Forward Enterprise project. However, he added that it was only a proposal and "in no way a done deal". English and German football chiefs said they remained unconvinced that he was fit to continue as FIFA President.
