Pune plans water rationing till August 2027 amid low storage. Pune Collector Jitendra Dudi said the district will plan water distribution until August 31, 2027, amid lower dam storage and uncertainty over the next monsoon. Khadakwasla, currently holding around 82% water, will face a 20% supply cut. Dudi said drinking water would be prioritised, agricultural allocation regulated and action taken against wastage, including improper use of motors to draw water.
