Delhi Police on Thursday detained Ankita Bhandari's parents and several opposition leaders during a sit-in protest at India Gate. The detentions took place around 4 am and they were released around 5 am. The protesters were demanding that Dushyant Kumar Gautam's appointment as Governor of Sikkim be put on hold until the CBI completed its ongoing investigation into Ankita's murder.
