Kashi Vishwanath Temple refutes reports of missing gold & structural damage, calls them baseless. The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust called reports claiming that temple's main spire (Shikhar) is severely damaged and that gold has gone missing from the premises "misleading" and "baseless". The Trust stated that while a portion of the spire did experience damage in April 2026, that specific damaged section has been safely preserved in its original condition inside temple's locker.
