MCD dumps 59,173 MT silt at cleared Singhola site. MCD told NGT that despite being cleared, 59,173.4 metric tonnes of silt was re-dumped at Delhi's Singhola site since July 2025 due to pre-monsoon desilting operations. MCD is establishing a 700-TPD processing facility, expected operational by November 2026, to prevent new mounds. The NGT had taken suo motu cognisance of the issue in 2024.
