Govt seeks feedback until Oct 30 for renaming Dakshina Kannada. The Karnataka government has invited public suggestions and objections by issuing an official notification on its proposal to rename Dakshina Kannada district as Mangaluru district. The move follows an announcement by CM DK Shivakumar after a state cabinet meeting held in Mangaluru on September 18.
