CJP's Ashutosh Ranka sent to Tihar jail on his birthday. After Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were sent to five days of judicial custody, CJP's Ajinkya Shinde said, "Today was Ashutosh’s birthday, and...he has been sent to jail." Das and Ranka were arrested for entering now-denotified Jantar Mantar protest site without permission. They were earlier released from detention after signing a bond barring them from breaching peace for one year.
