Man wins 14-year battle, gets ₹70 lakh insurance claim over punctured BMW. Maharashtra State Consumer Commission has directed United India Insurance to pay ₹70 lakh to a man for his BMW, which was destroyed in a fire in 2012 after a tyre puncture. It also directed the insurer to pay 7% annual interest. The insurer had rejected claim saying the vehicle was left unattended overnight.
