FSSAI tests AI tool to flag e-commerce food violations. FSSAI is testing an AI-based system, developed with MeitY, to automatically detect violations on e-commerce platforms. The regulator clarified that online platforms are responsible for products sold on them. Dark stores and cloud kitchens have also been brought under FSSAI's licensing and inspection framework, with risk-based inspections already underway.
