Muslim majority Azerbaijan 'bans' hijab in schools, sparks protests. Protests erupted in Azerbaijan, where around 96% of population identifies as Muslim, after an amendment barred clothing that violates government's "principle of secularism" in schools. While the amendment doesn't explicitly ban hijab, some schools reportedly stopped students & teachers wearing it from attending classes. "Hijab is personal choice, I should decide when to remove it," a teacher said.
