CJI Surya Kant gives 4 reasons for rejecting Rahul Gandhi's request for meeting. CJI Surya Kant rejected Rahul Gandhi's request for a meeting saying the grievances the Opposition was seeking to raise were pending before the court. He added that in Constitutional scheme, the court does not have powers to take cognisance of such grievances on "administrative side". He said that if Opposition files a petition it will be taken up for hearing.
