Allahabad High Court quashed a dowry harassment FIR against a man and his family, cautioning against turning every failed or distressed marriage into criminal case. It stressed the need to distinguish matrimonial discord from criminal conduct, noting the couple cohabited for around two and a half months. It warned that such cases could affect "the institution of marriage...at its core".
