K'taka MLC urges state to restore SC/ST students' food grants. Karnataka MLC K Shivakumar has urged the state government to restore food grants for SC/ST students staying in University of Mysuru hostels. In a letter to Social Welfare Minister KH Muniyappa, he sought the release of pending funds and continuation of the allowance for 2026-27, citing the financial burden on economically disadvantaged students.
