The Orissa High Court directed the Centre to repatriate 23 foreign seafarers stranded aboard an abandoned tanker, MT Unity, at Paradip Port since May 11. The court held that Article 21's right to life applies to foreign nationals too. The crew — mostly Russian — were left without wages, water, or supplies by the shipowner.
