About 480 workers, including 316 Indians, are set to receive ₹335-crore settlement over alleged labour exploitation in Europe. They worked for American construction company Caddell Construction on a US consulate project in Milan, Italy, where they were paid a meagre ₹150 per hour. They allegedly worked 12 hours a day, six days a week, despite Italy’s standard 40-hour working week.
