Anthropic launches its most capable small model. Anthropic has introduced Claude Haiku 5.5, describing it as its cheapest, fastest and most capable small model. Designed for high-volume, cost-sensitive tasks, Haiku 5.5 can handle repetitive workloads such as summaries, compactions, database queries and classification requests. This is Anthropic's third model launch since its CEO Dario Amodei called for a slowdown in AI development.
