A 19-year-old in Edinburgh became the UK's first teenager to receive a testicular tissue transplant, after tissue removed pre-treatment for a blood disorder was frozen and re-implanted. Backed by Children with Cancer UK and a decade of Edinburgh University research, the procedure could restore fertility for 1,200+ young UK patients if successful.
