Bengaluru plans 270-km RRTS to connect Tumakuru, Mysuru and KGF. Karnataka is planning a 270-km Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) network connecting Bengaluru with Tumakuru, Mysuru and Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). The proposal is part of a 10 to 15-year Comprehensive Master Plan for the Bengaluru Metropolitan Region. The government is also considering a Mumbai-Bengaluru-Mysuru high-speed rail corridor to improve regional connectivity and ease traffic congestion.
