Israeli Defence Minister Katz put the military on high alert ahead of the October 7 anniversary, citing intelligence of Hamas plans to attack Israeli forces in Gaza. He warned Hamas and Gaza's population would pay a "heavy price" if Israeli forces were harmed. At least two Palestinians were killed in strikes on Tuesday.
