Karnataka launches 'Borewell Suraksha Abhiyan'. Karnataka will launch 'Borewell Suraksha Abhiyan' to identify and safely close failed, abandoned, and unsafe open borewells across the state. Initially targeting Minor Irrigation Department borewells, the campaign will expand to other departments and public places. A WhatsApp and web-based citizen reporting system with geo-tagging is also being planned.
