Mecca pact activated as Pakistan & Turkey agree to deploy forces to Saudi Arabia. The Mecca defence pact has come into force after Pakistan and Turkey agreed to "rapidly deploy" their troops to ally Saudi Arabia, which is facing continued attacks and threats from Iran-backed Houthis. However, they didn't specify how many troops would be sent. This comes weeks after questions were raised against no military support from the allies despite the pact.
